Kuala Lumpur, October 2014- Nikon has launched their new series of “I M Your First Look” cameras a few days ago at Clark I Ballroom, Le Meridien Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Our team from wljack.com & loong-updates.blogspot.com was given an opportunity to do a coverage on the event and try out the new cameras being displayed there.

New Camera Launched! New D750 & Nikon Coolpix S6900!

Nikon Malaysian has announced the launch of two brand new cameras, D750 & Nikon Coolpix S6900. The new features of these cameras were presented via powerpoint and both of them have some really impressive features.

Nikon D750, the smallest and lightest Nikon FX-format camera can deliver incredible image quality in an ideal features. It also has a built-in Wi-Fi which allows users to transfer photos seamlessly to your other devices. Besides, it also features a tilting monitor, 24.3 megapixels, 91K-pixel RGB sensor and outstanding high-speed continuous shooting rate of approximately 6.5 frames per second. Most amazingly, it has an effective ISO ranging from 100 to 12800, also expendable from Lo 1 (ISO equivalent) right up to Hi 2 (ISO 512000 equivalent)! Some photos examples were shown during the press conference and yeah, they sure were breathtaking!

Besides, the launching also demonstrated to us how Nikon D750 could record Full HD movies in 1920 x 1080/60p (59.94 fps). The promotional video which features how smooth cinematic experience could be delivered in parkour motion is very convincing to make it a wish-list item!

“Selfie” & “Wefie” creates new opportunities! Nikon Coolpix S6900, an affordable Selfie camera!

Besides the high specs DSLR, Nikon has also launched the brand new Nikon Coolpix S6900 which is inspired by the current trend of “selfie” and “wefie”. It can capture beautiful self-portraits and allow the users to upload and share via social media quickly and easily.

It has a stylish design, vari-angle touchscreen LCD monitor ideal for selfie purpose plus having a built-in wifi and great optical zoom. Besides, it has pre-installed apps which allows creative editing using the camera itself. Another notable feature of Coolpix S6900 is its hands-free tracking features that can detect user’s palm movement to determine whether to proceed still shooting or movie recording. It comes with the price of RM 998 only!

During the launch, the upcoming Mandopop girl group, “Precious” has appeared as the guests to promote these new cameras.

All of the girls have appeared with the brand new cameras on their hands and posed for the photograph-taking session!

Prior to their stage appearance, a promotional video featuring Precious has been shown to us. A few selfies were taken by them in the video and those photos were also displayed to us as photo examples for Coolpix S6900. According to them, those photos were taken spontaneously and they didn’t know it would be used for promotional purpose. However, the photo quality turned out to be even better than they have imagined.

Media Interview With Precious!

During the press interview, KeQing stated that she have taken part in a few movies recently and she hopes to see the Nikon promotional video in theatre too! Estee stated that she felt really lucky to have such an opportunity to take part in the Nikon advertisement video. Yin Yin also mentioned that they might be filming for upcoming Nikon videos at beaches or other natural environments. Hera and KeQing then added, if they are going for shooting at beaches, they have to go to gym first so that their body shapes could be optimum for photography.

During the media interview, KeQing also demonstrated to us on how to use the Coolpix S6900 for selfie!
