[Coverage] Red Box and Green Box Food Review "World Buffet" Event

Kuala Lumpur, 29^th August 2013- Red Box and Green Box Karaoke has carried out a food review event a few days ago (27^th August 2013) and many media members as well as celebrities have attended the event to witness the launching of the all new international buffet in Red Box and Green Box.

Interview Session With The Chefs!

During the event, Red Box has invited a notable celebrity Chef, Bruce Lim who is a chef consultant to Lee Kum Kee. He presented his signature dishes along with Red Box and Green Box Chefs during the launch. Just in case you guys do not know yet, Chef Bruce Lim  is a Filipino-Chinese, which is often seen on Asian Food Channel Show. During the Food Review Event, he was interviewed regarding his experience throughout his career.

Some of the questions and answers during the event include as follow:

• Chef Bruce Lim has learnt to cook in London.
• It’s a new attempt for Lee Kum Kee now because it has finally approached western cuisine too. Previously, Lee Kum Kee mostly focuses in Chinese cuisine. Just like Red Box, now not only focuses in entertainment but also in providing a variety of international good food for the customers.
• Best Food he has ever eaten was his grandmother’s steamed fish.

Red Box Chef was also interviewed regarding the launching of this international buffet. Anyway, in this international buffet, there will be many diversity of food from different countries such as Italian food, Brazilian food, Turkish food and etc.

Celebrities’ choices of food!

After the interview session with the chefs, there was also an interview session with the celebrities too. The celebrities who have attended the launch include foreign artiste such as Kim Jin Sung or known as JS (Korea), while the local artistes are Orange, Da.Mon.Ster, Kah Jun and a popular Malay drama actress Ezzaty Abdullah. They were basically asked regarding their favorite food and what type of food they would want to try out in Red Box. 
Below are some of the Q&A asked:

• JS ( actor in Autumn Dihatiku)  despite being a Korean was able to speak fluent Malay. He stated that he likes Nasi Lemak very much.
• Danny said that he would like to try out Mexican food.
• Monkey D. from Da.Mon.Ster said that he would usually pile up a mountain of food during his “Cheong K” session. He would prefer Turkish food.
• Esther preferred Korean food.
• Kah Jun also spoke in Malay during the interview. He said that JS as a Korean can speak Malay, so as a Malaysian, he should try to demonstrate his fluency in Malay too.
• Orange was interested in Brazillian food.

The Launching of Red Box Figurines!

In conjunction with the anniversary promotion, Red Box and Green Box also launched the release of figurines for collections. During the event, these figurines were given as souvenirs for the invited guests.

Demonstration of Chef Bruce Lim’s signature dish cooking! Celebrities were the assistants!

Immediately after the interview session, media members were invited to witness Chef Bruce Lim’s demonstration on how he cooks his signature dishes. The celebrities became the assistants for the “boss” Chef Bruce Lim and also have the chance to show off their hidden talents in cooking too.

Mouth-watering Delicacies From All Over the World!

Media members were given the chance to try out all of the new dishes introduced in the “World Buffet” at Red Box. The options for food are really a lot and all of them are from different countries. Let’s get a sneak peak at what you could expect from the buffet!

Apart from that, Red Box also organizes “Duck Fishing” during its anniversary promotion to all of visitors of Red Box and Green Box karaoke. Successful visitors will take home prizes worth up to RM 100,000.

And, we are honored  to have a Celebrity Chef Bruce Lim, who is also a chef consultant to Lee Kum Kee, which is often seen on Asian Food Channel show who was presenting a cooking demo of three dishes; Asian Salad with Garlic Prawns, Crispy Pla Pla With Honey Garlic and Seafood Gambas Pasta at the event.

Hip Hip Hurray! Red Box anniversary promotion starts now!
