[Movie] “The Beggar Hero” 《丐世英雄》
will be delayed in theatre release!
Kuala Lumpur, 18th January 2014 – While many local
Chinese New Year movies were already running their promo tour progressively, little
were heard about “The Beggar Hero” 《丐世英雄》, a movie that stars Wayne Lai 黎耀祥, the 3-times winner of Best Actor in TVB annual awards show. The movie
also features casts such as 程旭辉 and龚柯允.
The
main reason for this is because there are some issues in obtaining the release
date during CNY slot. There are many
films from both local and international which compete for the release date during CNY period. Due to this, “The Beggar Hero” 《丐世英雄》 release date has been delayed to 27th
February 2014.

“The Beggar Hero” producers 许康文&黑桃 stated that, making a mandarin movie locally is not
an easy task. This delay has allowed them to learn a lot. Besides, they said
that, it has been a loss for them because they have already planned to invite Wayne Lai to Malaysia for their promo
tour during Chinese New Year period. Sadly, they will have to postpone the
schedule for promo tour. Either way, they hoped that the local audience can go
to the cinema during the Chinese New Year period to support all the CNY films
which are available in the theatre.
The Summary of “The Beggar Hero”
“The
Beggar Hero” revolves the story of a guy named 陈大力 (played by Wayne Lai) who
has a good martial arts skill and has been helping the poor or weak from
getting bullied. Later on, people mistook him as the head of Beggars gang.
Eventually, under the pressures from gangsters, he has to become the beggar
hero who fights to protect his love and friendship which are about to be
threatened.
