In Search for the Next Multi-talented Star

The much anticipated reality show , Astro Star Quest (ASQ) 2014, to unearth the next undiscovered star, welcomes Malaysians aged 18 to 25 years old to unleash their musical talent and achieve their dreams in becoming the next successful singer. Astro is on the lookout for stellar singing ability, and awesome stage presence as a star performer. Grab this golden opportunity by recording a 90 second video clip and uploading it to ASQ’s official website beginning from today.

Due to the overwhelming response to the previous audition online, Astro Star Quest 2014 continues to audition hopefuls online at the ASQ official website (http://asq.astro.com.my) by submitting a 90 second video clip of their best performance coupled with a self-introduction before 23 March 2014. As this is a one-time entry, you have only one shot to demonstrate your stellar singing ability to impress the judges!

ASQ now in its 18^th year has brought generations together with a common goal: the quest for the next multi-talented Star. Once again, the quest this year is on for the next multifaceted performer, who has the capability to sing, dance, host and incredible stage presence. Shortlisted contestants will proceed to the second round audition on Sunday 6^th April, where the final top 18 will be chosen to kick start Astro Star Quest 2014.     

Astro Star Quest is produced by Astro Ben Di Quan, with MY FM as the official radio station. In conjunction with the 10^th anniversary of Astro Ben Di Quan, there will be a walk-in audition on 29 & 30 March 2014 for the first 100 applicants. If you have what it takes to be the next superstar, take part in the auditions and mesmerize the audience with your amazing vocals!

ASQ will be televised on Astro Wah Lai Toi (Ch 311) and Astro Zhi Zun HD (Ch 310) starting May 2013.

Astro Star Quest 2014 Entry Procedure:

1. The Contestant must be able to converse in Cantonese or Mandarin and is only open to Malaysians.
2. The Contestant must be 18 years of age to 25 years of age (Born in 1989 - 1996) ending 31^st December 2014.
3. The Audition is also open to all former finalists of Astro Talent Quest & Astro Star Quest.
4. The Contestant must certify that he/she hasnot released any solo music album with the exception of compilation or group albums. The Contestant must be free from any contractual obligation to any recording label or in any form.
5. For the 1^st Round Audition, Contestant has to sing a song in any language or any Chinese dialects with a minimum duration of 90 seconds recorded into a video clip format. Only one entry is allowed for each contestant.
6. The Contestants must:

                      i.        Upload one (1) recent photograph.

                    ii.        Upload one (1) singing video clip format.

                   iii.        Complete and submit the Application Form obtainable from website: asq.astro.com.my

7.    The Contestant must prepare his/her own CD/VCD/DVD minus one version containing the selected song to be performed and will be judged before qualifying for the 2nd Round Audition (2nd Round Audition will be on 6th April 2014, Sunday, held at Astro Studio 1)
