KKBOX
CUSTOMIZES UNLIMITED MUSIC SERVICES FOR AS LOW AS RM1 A DAY!
Bringing music fans closer
to their favourite artistes with access to the most comprehensive music library
in Asia!
Kuala
Lumpur, 26th April 2014 – KKBOX, further strengthens its
presence as Asia’s leading digital music service provider by the announcement
of its new daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly price plans. These are
available only in Malaysia for its growing community of music-loving
subscribers.
With
plans that start from as low as RM1, Malaysian users can now enjoy and access
to unlimited affordable music, as well as limitless access to stream and
cache their favourite tunes through a wide range of devices.
Establishing
a distinct ‘local flavour’ in all of its online content through its newly
dedicated Bahasa Malaysia User Interface (UI), KKBOX introduces unique
features and activities for users to interact, share music and sing
along with their most-loved local artistes.
Chief Executive Officer of KKBOX, Mr.
Chris Lin said, “We believe in bringing people closer to each
other through a shared passion for music, and are constantly benchmarking
ourselves from the competition through the introduction of a music service that
is unlike any other. As a company which is present in many different countries,
we truly feel that to engage with the local audience, we need to break all
possible barriers and let music do the talking!”
“As
part of our efforts in localizing content, KKBOX is currently working very
closely in collaborating with both major and indie local music labels, as well
as the Recording Industry Association of Malaysia (RIM) and Music Authors‘
Copyright Protection (MACP) in Malaysia.”
The
cool options available on KKBOX include ‘Rolling Lyrics’, which allows
users to enjoy an instant karaoke experience by turning their device into a mobile
karaoke jukebox. Another notable option is named ‘Listen With’, a live
streaming feature which allows users and artistes to interact closely with one
another through social chatting and music sharing. Up till now, KKBOX has
engaged more than 1000 artistes from across the region for ‘Listen With’. The
list of artistes includes FTISLAND, Mayday, Jay Chou and etc. Local subscribers can now
look forward to having their favourite Malaysian acts on this special feature.
On
top of this, KKBOX also works as a one-stop platform that provides localized
editorial content via a local editorial team. This enables Malaysian users to
access the very latest in music updates, exclusive artiste interviews, album
reviews, as well as concert and LIVE reviews.
Initially
launched in Taiwan 10 years ago, and having expanded extensively to Hong Kong,
Singapore, Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia – KKBOX has established itself as the
pioneer in the online music market. With more than 10 million registered
users, KKBOX holds a gigantic music library that features a diverse mix of
over 10 million songs from more than 500 international and local
labels.
