Press Release] COLDPLAY will be performing for the first time at “MTV Video
Music Awards Japan 2014”
SINGAPORE/TOKYO,
16 MAY 2014 – Today, MTV Japan has announced that the world
renowned rock quartet Coldplay will be hitting the stage of
their first MTV Video Music Awards Japan (VMAJ) with a highly
anticipated performance from their upcoming sixth studio album Ghost
Stories.
Besides
Coldplay, there will also be a star-studded line-up of performers including Berryz
KOBO, E-girls, GLAY, HATSUNE MIKU, Kaela Kimura, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Daichi
Miura. Additionally, Chiaki Horan, funassyi, HYADAIN, Rev.
from DVL, Ryo Ryusei, Kavka Shishido and So Takei will
also appear as presenters.

by Sayumi Michishige (MORNING MUSUME ’14), T.M.Revolution and w-inds.,
the 13th annual MTV VMAJ 2014 will broadcast
live from Maihama Amphitheater on MTV Japan on Saturday, 14th June
at 6pm (Tokyo time) and MTV Asia will run a same-day
telecast of the show at 7pm (WIB), 8pm (SIN/HK), 9pm
(MAL). MTV VMAJ 2014 is expected to also telecast globally
after the show across MTV’s global networks.
Furthermore,
this year’s VMAJ will be open to the global online community and stream live
throughout the main show at the show’s official website VMAJ.JP.
Global
megastar Beyoncé and Tokyo pop culture icon Kyary
Pamyu Pamyu lead the MTV VMAJ 2014 nominations with three
nods each. Music fans all over the world can vote for all categories online at VMAJ.JP.
The
