2015 Online Audition is Open now till 5 April 2015 In Search for the Next
Multi-talented Star!
KUALA LUMPUR, March
2015-
Astro Star Quest (ASQ) 2015 returns
for the 19th year to continue to fulfill young Malaysians’ dream and
passion for music. The competition for the first time ever has extended the age
limit until 28 years old besides the usual requirements such as being good at
singing, dancing, and having on stage charisma to compete with other Malaysians.
In
addition, a panel of notable and highly influential personalities in the
Chinese music industry from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia will reprise their
role as the judges and train the pool of contestants throughout the competition
until the top five finalists. With a custom made song for each finalist, the
top 5 will be given a first-hand mentorship to a successful music career and
shot to stardom.
The
online audition for Astro Star Quest allows hopeful contestants to submit a 90-
second video clip of their best performance including a short introduction of
themselves via the ASQ official website (http://asq.astro.com.my)
by 5th of April 2015.
As this is a one-time
entry, participants have only one shot to impress the judges. The best 40
contestants will be shortlisted by professional judges and they will then have
to bring their own selection of music for the second round of audition to kick
start Astro Star Quest 2015.
ASQ
is now in its 19th year and strives to be a platform that discovers
new talents here in Malaysia while at the same time aiming to become one of the
most popular Chinese Singing Competition.
Astro
Star Quest is produced by Astro Ben Di Quan, with MY FM as the official radio
station. ASQ will be on air every Sunday, 8:30pm on Astro Wah Lai Toi (Ch 311) and Astro
Wah Lai Toi HD (Ch 310) starting 24
May 2015.

Astro Star Quest 2015
Entry Procedure:
- The Contestant must be able to converse in Cantonese or Mandarin and the competition is only open to Malaysians.
- The Contestant must be 18 years of age to 28 years of age ending 21 March 2015.
- The Audition is also open to all former finalists of Astro Talent Quest & Astro Star Quest (except former champions).
- For the 1st Round Audition, Contestant has to sing a song in any language or any Chinese dialects with a minimum duration of 90 seconds recorded into a video clip format. Only one entry is allowed for each contestant.
- The Contestants must:
i) Upload one (1) recent photograph.
ii) Upload one (1) singing video clip format.
iii) Complete and submit the Application Form obtainable from website: asq.astro.com.my
The Contestant must prepare his/her own CD/VCD/DVD minus one version containing the selected song to be performed and will be judged before qualifying for the 2nd Round Audition
