[Coverage] JAPAN WEEKEND in Malaysia Press Conference

Kuala Lumpur, November 2016 – In conjunction with “JAPAN WEEKEND”, a press conference was held at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur on 19^th November 2016. During the press conference, a few of the renowned JPOP artistes including Kosuke Oki, Fuki, Mao, Mikako Izawa & Saima Nakano have also graced the event.

JAPAN WEEKEND was jointly organized by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Foundation For Promotion Of Music Industry and Culture (PROMIC), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), MANGA Festival Executive Committee, Tourism Authority, Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO), and Cool Japan Fund Inc, Isetan Mitsubishi Holdings Ltd.

Various Events at the same period! First Time In Malaysia!
This is the first time for JAPAN WEEKEND to be held in Malaysia. It aims to evoke the wide range of interest to Japan for the participants of the events. A few activities including JPOP Signature in KL, MANGA Festival in Malaysia, Japan Travel Fair 2016, ISETAN The Japan Store Kuala Lumpur Opening Event “trans-kyoto” were held.

During the press conference, all of the artistes who came were very delighted to be here in Malaysia as they hope to share with the Malaysian fans regarding Japanese anime and music culture. Kosuke Oki attempted to greet the media members with Bahasa Melayu. It was a nice attempt by him.
