Short Synopsis:
Soul
of Shaolin: Hui Guang’s Story is a stirring portrait of the life of a Shaolin
monk. The tale begins with a woman who is forced to abandon her son when she
finds herself pursued by a group of bandits. The woman hides her child among
tall grass before jumping off a cliff in her effort to evade capture.
The
child is later found by Na Luo, a
Shaolin Kung Fu Monk, who also picks up a piece of broken jade he finds near
the former. Years go by, and the child, named Hui Guang, grows strong and healthy – raised and taught by Na Luo and also Miao Xing, the abbot of Shaolin
Temple. Hui Guang’s past is not
hidden from him; the truth is revealed to him, along with the piece of jade.
Will Hui Guang finally able to reunite with
his mother? Let’s find out in the Soul
of Shaolin: Hui Guang’s Story which is taking place in Genting International Showroom from 28th May 2017 to 26th
June 2017.
Great Kung Fu Demonstrated On Stage!
Never in my life that I thought that I would be able to witness real genuine kung fu being performed on stage. To see the performers do all the high jumps, splits, wushu steps in firm, sturdy yet flexible state is something beyond breathtaking! There was definitely no steel wires attached to the performers as they jumped up till almost 2-3 storey high with merely their own strength! Their fists and kicks were solid and trust me, you wouldn’t want to mess with them in real life!

In
addition, it’s definitely mind-blowing to see some stunts which we usually see
in Hong Kong Martial Arts Movies like
“Stone-Cracking on Chest”, “Bending
Spears with Neck”, “Pin-hole Needle bursting Balloon” stunts to be
presented LIVE on stage. It’s totally unbelievable and amazing!
Great Interactions With The Audiences!
Besides
of having a great martial arts performances, the show also good at interacting
with the crowds. They have picked up a few audiences on stage and the
performers actually taught these lucky ones some shaolin kung fu arts. Imagine learning real “Toad Kungfu” with the real kung fu practitioner, wouldn’t it be astonishing?
Apart
from all these, the show actually has a great plot and amazing on-stage acting
too!
Overall,
I am really impressed with the show and this is definitely one of the Best Performing Arts show which I have
ever seen in my life!
Highly
recommended for people who love wushu and
performing arts! Don’t miss it! You
should catch the show at Genting
International Showroom before it’s too late!
