[Coverage] Asia Comic Con
(ACC) 2019 @ Midvalley Exhibition Centre
Kuala Lumpur, October 2019 – As per mentioned in my

) Asia Comic Con (ACC) has made its
way back to Malaysia last weekend!

2 Days Full of Anime Manga Comic Fun!
ACC 2019 this year has featured different zones
which were dedicated for fans of comics,
movies, series, manga, anime, toys, gaming and cosplay. As per usual in the comic convention, there was a large space
of “market place” for the fans to visit and purchase their merchandise of
interest. There were also areas for computer gaming, card games and etc.
In
addition to that, the growing community of cosplayers
in Malaysia was also a bonus as it has made the event even merrier. Look at
some of the cool cosplayers that we spotted during the event!
Original
Pokémon Theme Song Singer, Jason Paige Made His First Appearance in Malaysia!
Childhood Moment Relived! I wanna be the
very best, like no one ever was!
One
of the biggest highlight of the event this year was the presence of Jason Paige, the original singer for
the Pokémon theme song, a song that
has captured the hearts of many 90s kids.
Jason Paige was surely full
of energy. When he appeared on stage, he was very enthusiastic and has shared
with us a lot of his past experience in his singing career. Apart from the Pokémon
theme song, he was actually the singer for many other cartoon songs. He also
sang for the background of Michael
Jackson’s songs. He also demonstrated his skills in beatboxing and loop
station. It was just amazing!
The most memorable moment was when he sang the Pokémon
theme song!
It was a great view to see how the kids who are now grown-ups singing together
as he performed the song LIVE!
Mika Kobayashi, sweet and melodic
performance!
Apart
from Jason Paige, the other
highlight of the event was the anisong
performance by Mika Kobayashi! Anime
fans have known her well in performing multiple soundtracks of popular anime
such as Shingeki no Kyojin, Gundam UC,
Guilty Crown, and Ao no Exorcist; the
television series Iryu 3. She
has mesmerized all of the audience with her melodic voice!
Scott Koblish’s drawing demonstration on
stage!
The
popular comic artist Scott Koblish was
also invited to Asia Comic Con 2019. He
is famous for his work on Marvel’s
Deadpool. During the event, he has demonstrated his drawing process on
stage.
Apart
from all these, the event also features Ario,
a comic artist who has worked with both Marvel and DC, Wirru, the Champion of World Cosplay Summit 2019 Deejay BenKun, who spins anisong for
events and etc.
It
was a fun-filled weekend!
Our
team really enjoyed Asia Comic Con (ACC)
2019 and we are looking forward to the future Asia Comic Con again!
