Kuala Lumpur, December 2022 - Malaysian songstress Datuk Sheila Majid is taking the stage again for a big band concert six years after her sold-out solo concert at Stadium Negara.

 

《Sheila Majid BIG BAND Live in Kuala Lumpur》on 18 March 2023, will feature a spectrum of 23 musicians, including 13 horn players, seven band members, and three backup singers, invigorating Sheila's performance that night.

 

Fans can expect to hear some of Sheila's greatest hits, including "Sinaran", "Antara Anyer dan Jakarta", and "Memori", which will be arranged by renowned music director Mac Chew. Jennifer Thompson, a music producer, will direct the concert.

 

The concert will take place at the Dewan Merdeka, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur — a historic venue for Sheila, as it was the site of her first ever concert in support of her 1988 album Warna.

 

The jazz orchestra concert will be held exclusively for one night only, making it even more special and preserving the magic of the show. Sheila's most recent studio album, "Boneka", was released in 2017. It arrived 13 years after chart-topping album Cinta Kita in 2004.

睽违6年重返演唱会舞台  茜拉玛吉携手23人大乐队开唱

《Sheila Majid BIG BAND Live in Kuala Lumpur》门票12.12公开发售

 

马来乐坛天后拿督茜拉玛吉（Sheila Majid）时隔6年，将于2023年3月18日再度举办大型售票演唱会。为了报答歌迷朋友对她的支持，茜拉玛吉精心准备节目内容，并首次出动23人大乐队（BIG BAND）。

 

茜拉玛吉1985年以首张专辑《Dimensi Baru》出道，多年来累积多首经典作品，包括《Sinaran》、《Pengemis Muda》、《Antara Anyer Dan Jakarta》等。她于2007年与林宇中合唱《Melody》后，相隔15年再度演唱由林宇中词曲创作的《Wira Hatiku》，该曲被选为抗疫电影《JUANG》主题曲外，日前也在《第32届马来西亚电影节》荣获最佳电影主题曲奖。

 

已有6年没开唱的茜拉玛吉，自2017年的《Sheila Majid The Concert Kuala Lumpur》后，决定重返舞台举办《Sheila Majid BIG BAND Live in Kuala Lumpur 2023》演唱会。除了邀来曾为多位马来天王天后制作演唱会的Jennifer Thompson担任演唱会总监外，大马知名音乐人Mac Chew也将领军13位号手、7位乐手和3位和音老师为茜拉玛吉伴奏，这也是茜拉玛吉第一次在大乐队的陪同下演出。

 

演唱会主办方JioBuddy首席执行长黄治宪先生表示：“茜拉玛吉不仅是大马的传奇人物，在新加坡和印尼等国家也受到高度赞扬并有很多拥趸。”他感谢茜拉玛吉愿意举办这场演唱会外，也承诺会与茜拉玛吉全力打造高水准、高规格的演出，为歌迷朋友提供独一无二的现场体验。
