most popular musical, has made its Malaysian debut in December with a brand new
international production.

The uplifting true story of Maria, the fun-loving governess who
changed the lives of the widowed Captain von Trapp and his seven
children by reintroducing them to music, culminating in the family's flight
across the Austrian mountains as tensions rise prior to the outbreak of World
War II, is told in this highly acclaimed original production.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC's original Broadway production in 1959 won
five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and a Grammy Award for Best Show
Album. It was Rodgers and Hammerstein's biggest success. The 1965 film,
starring Julie Andrews as Maria, won five Academy Awards, including Best
Picture, and is still considered one of the most popular films of all time.
