Kuala Lumpur, January 2023- Sungei Wang Plaza celebrates the radiant year of the rabbit this Chinese New Year 2023 with thematic campaign "Prosperous Year of Reunion". The mall is decorated with amazing Chinese New Year decorations to create a festive atmosphere. The celebration starts from now until 5th February 2023 with loads of exciting performances and events.

 

The mall has been transformed into an Instagram-worthy location with Red Chinese Lanterns, Cherry Blossom Trees, and wavy red cloth hung and scattered throughout. When you enter the centre court, there are many great places to take Chinese New Year photos with your family and friends, such as a Chinese Pagoda, a bridge above the Lotus Pond, and the Prosperous Bunny (Foo Too) in various expressions, which is a symbol of good luck and auspiciousness. Aside from the decorations, Sungei Wang Plaza is bustling with activities to get you in the mood for Chinese New Year!

 

Media Launch Of Prosperous Year Of Reunion!

The media launch of “Prosperous Year Of Reunion” was successfully officiated by Yang Berhormat Tuan Fong Kao Lun, Member of Parliament Bukit Bintang and Mr Andy Cheng, Chairman of Sungei Wang Plaza Management Corporation on 5th January 2023 with a series of spectacular drum and Lion dance performances as well as Yee Sang Tossing with media friends and guests.

 

"After experiencing the epidemic, we realise the importance of having a reunion.  As a result, this Chinese New Year, we welcome all shoppers to Sungei Wang Plaza to celebrate the Prosperous Year of Reunion with their family and friends. The launch was successfully concluded with a special sound of ukulele performance by Tiow Lyn Xuan and Hau Shen Ny, the Group Category Champions of the 2018 Malaysian Ukulele Festival and 4th Runner Up for the 1st Penang Ukulele Competition 2022!

For a meaningful Chinese New Year Campaign, Sungei Wang Plaza will host special appearances by a variety of artists, including Angeline CNY Album Launch, Nick & Stella CNY Meet & Greet, Ai FM DJ CNY Meet & Greet, "Rabbit Star Shines On You" Meet & Greet, and the first Dissy Artist CNY Meet & Greet!
