Kuala Lumpur, March 2023 – The third
season of 8TV's fraud prevention programme "Behind The Scam"
begins with a bang. Beginning 7th April 2023, every Friday at 9 p.m, the show
will collaborate with the public to combat fraud, expose scams, and reveal the
truth!
The new season of "Behind The Scam" is comprised of eight
episodes that cover a variety of fraud prevention topics such as "Ponzi
schemes," "Gambling, entertainment, insurance, and investment
scams," "APK fraud programmes," "Cambodian pig butchering
scams," "voucher scams," "online fraud," "fake
loans fraud," and so on. The show will expose various scams and share
more safety tips with the audience to raise public awareness of
self-protection.
Combating fraud is a difficult and time-consuming task. Fraudulent
methods and patterns are constantly evolving, and new fraudulent methods and
patterns emerge. As a result, anti-fraud work necessitates constant updating of
technology and knowledge, as well as a high level of vigilance. The programme
will be based on several real-life cases, will interview numerous victims of
fraud, and will bring in professional experts such as cops, lawyers, and crime
prevention units to analyse various common fraudulent methods. The show aims to
raise public awareness of the importance of prevention in order to avoid
becoming the next victim.
