Puteri Lindungan Bulan, now available on iQIYI, is an exciting new
drama for Malaysians to binge on this Ramadan. The series, starring popular
Malaysian actress Janna Nick, premiered on TV3 on March 21,
2023 at 10 p.m. in the Samarinda slot.
The
40-episode Media Prima series follows Larasati Aisya (Janna Nick), also known as Puteri,
who had to drop out of school to take over her late father's business. Sabrina
(played by Afifah Nasir), her brother's wife, hates Lara and is jealous of
her, and manipulates her family and eventual love interest to cause a rift in Lara's
relationships. Zafir (Hisham Hamid) has always had feelings for Lara, which
are initially ignored, but eventually Lara opens her heart to him and they
marry. Their marriage is put to the test when Zafir's faith in Lara begins to
dwindle after hearing Sabrina's allegations of her cheating. Farah, Zafir's
ex-lover, arrives, complicating matters even more. Will Lara and Zafir's
relationship survive the turmoil?
