[Press Conference] Ailee I AM: HERE @ Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, 2024 –  South Korean powerhouse vocalist Ailee held a press conference ahead of her much-anticipated solo concert in Malaysia, part of her "I AM: HERE" tour. This concert is proudly brought to you by LOL ASIA who always tried their best to bring the best show to Malaysian audiences!

The press conference, attended by Malaysian Media Members including our team from wljack.com, showcased Ailee's excitement and gratitude for her Malaysian supporters. Here are the key moments from the conference:

Q1: How do you feel having your first solo concert here in Malaysia?

Ailee: It's overwhelming. I have been waiting to come back for 11 years to be exact. I always know that there are a lot of Malaysian fans here. I hope they will just enjoy the show and have a good time here.

Q2: How's the hospitality in Malaysia?

Ailee: Malaysia's hospitality is amazing. The hospitality here feels like Korea. From when I arrived at the airport till I entered my hotel room, the warmth was evident. The bathroom even had a customized Ailee logo on it. They also delivered me nasi goreng and satay, which was delightful.

Q3: Which song do you like the most?

Ailee: The song that hit me the hardest is "Heaven." Because of this song, I managed to start up this "I AM" Tour. "I AM" describes who I am and allows me to show the different sides of myself as an artist. There were "I AM: COLOURFUL" and "I AM: REBORN," which tried to incorporate how I feel.

Q4: Some artists skipped Malaysia. What makes you want to come to Malaysia again?

Ailee: I knew I was getting a lot of love and support from my Malaysian fans. I always knew I would come back, but I didn't expect it would take this long. I guess the other artists do not know Malaysia that well yet.

Q5: Did you manage to explore Malaysia?

Ailee: I am introverted, so I don't usually go out. But I managed to try some rotis. Maybe tomorrow I am going to do some food shopping.

Q: Do you like Durian?

Ailee: Maybe not. But I do love Durian chips.

Q6: Who are the Kpop artists that always make you laugh?

Ailee: I am very close with Nayeon and, of course, Amber. Amber always makes me laugh. She's a great friend to talk to. Now that you mention it, I think I should reconnect with her after this concert. And Eric Nam too. He's a very good "Big Sister."

Q7: What superpower do you wish to have?

Ailee: When I was younger, I always wished I could teleport so that I could go anywhere whenever I wanted to. Nowadays, I just wish I had the superpower to live without sleeping. I sleep a lot and feel like I waste a lot of time sleeping, time which I could use to do many more things.

Q8: What makes you love to sing OSTs for Kdramas?

Ailee: I love being able to tell a story through those OSTs. Additionally, I can watch the scenes as I sing and express how I feel about the drama.

Q9: What men's fashion style do you like the most?

Ailee: I don't really mind and am not into any specific fashion. Most importantly, the man needs to be confident.

Q10: Do you have any upcoming Kdrama OSTs?

Ailee: Not that I remember at the moment. But when I really like a project, I will sing the OST again.

Q11: What do you think is the most important part of singing the songs?

Ailee: I feel like singing is like acting. I try to act and portray the character at the same time when I sing the songs. I just hope to relate to the audience and listeners too.

Q12: What kind of legacy would you love to leave behind?

Ailee: I always felt I am a normal girl after all the fancy lights and bright stage. I love to watch Netflix and play with my dogs. But I hope to become an artist who brought joy and reached the hearts of as many people as I can.
