Sungei Wang Plaza's "Moonlit Blossom Lantern Parade" ends successfully. Thousands light up Bukit Bintang on the Eve of Malaysia Day.

Kuala Lumpur, 2024 – On 15th September 2024, Sungei Wang Plaza's annual Lantern Parade, one of the most anticipated Mid-Autumn celebrations, once again lit up the streets of Bukit Bintang. The event not only commemorated the Mid-Autumn Festival, but also paved the way for the upcoming Malaysia Day. 

The grand event, held on 15th September 2024, was officially launched at 7:30 PM by Yang Berusaha Mr Samuel Lee, Deputy Director General (Promotion), Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board. Speaking at the event, Mr. Joseph Teo, General Manager of Sungei Wang Plaza, stated: "This marks our 8th edition and 10th year of organizing the Lantern Parade, which is also the largest lantern parade in Bukit Bintang. As our theme, ‘Moonlit Blossom, A Lunar Reunion’, we welcome everyone back to the familiar Sungei Wang Plaza, where it feels like home, sharing the warmth of Mid-Autumn family reunions while embracing the traditional essence of the festival."

The evening's highlight was an exhilarating performance by BSY Cultural Arts, which included 40 Oriental drums that echoed through the air, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display that illuminated Bukit Bintang's night sky in honor of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Malaysia Day. Thousands of people attended the lantern parade, which was led by over 30 lion dance troupes and a mesmerizing LED dragon, creating a dazzling spectacle as they paraded through the streets. Over 1,000 lanterns and Malaysian flags were distributed, inviting shoppers and tourists to illuminate Bukit Bintang and celebrate Malaysia's vibrant multicultural heritage.

Furthermore, this year's celebration included a variety of exciting activities. The all-day event at Sungei Wang Plaza included interactive games, festive performances, craft workshops, raffles, free giveaways, and more. Celebrities from 8TV, including Owen Yap, Gary Yap, Ching Yee, Natalie Xiao Yu, Orange Tan, Rickman Chia, Charlotte Seow, Victoria Ng, Yee Jie, and Houson Ng, as well as Eight FM announcers Kyan and Ke Qing, Diorlying, and Go Hell Holiday, made special appearances to participate in the parade, play games, and give away gifts.

Sungei Wang Plaza also received the Silver Award for PPK Malaysia's "Best Experiential Marketing Awards 2023 - 2024" for its Mid-Autumn Fun Under The Moon Lantern Parade last year. Before the launch, an award was presented, and Mr Joseph stated, "We are deeply honoured by this recognition within our industry, and we are thrilled to share this joy with our partners, tenants, and shoppers this year on our stage."

The Moonlit Blossom Lantern Parade was proudly presented by Sungei Wang Plaza, with strong support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia. 8TV served as the media partner, with Eight FM as the official radio station and AirAsia Ride as the official ride service. Event partners included JUMPA, KL Hop On Hop Off, and BSY Cultural Arts, with sponsorship from Magnum, Cuckoo, Wonderlab, The Batik Shop, Taste of Asia, Mixue, HWC Coffee, Beryls Chocolate, and Saudi Burger.

吉隆坡，2024 - 吉隆坡金河广场一年一度的《花好月圆》中秋游灯会圆满落幕，照亮了武吉免登的街道，吸引了成千上万的市民和游客共同庆祝中秋佳节，同时为马来西亚日揭开序幕。

这场盛大的游灯会于2024年9月15日晚上7点30分隆重开幕，开幕仪式由马来西亚国家旅游局副局长李泰康先生主持。金河广场广场经理张芳毅在致辞中表示, “这是我们举办的第八届和第十个年头的中秋游灯会，也是武吉免登最大规模的灯笼游行。正如我们的主题《花好月圆 _团聚金河》所表达的一样，大家回到熟悉的金河广场，仿佛回到了温暖的家中，共同感受中秋节的团圆和温馨以及体验中秋的传统魅力”。 

当晚的重头戏是由白世音文化艺术协会带来的40面中华鼓表演，鼓声震撼全场，随后璀璨的烟花点亮了夜空，庆祝中秋的同时迎接马来西亚日的到来。游灯会更是由30支舞狮队伍和绚丽的LED舞龙领衔，现场派发了上千个灯笼和马来西亚国旗，购物者和游客们提灯游街，场面壮观，充分展现了马来西亚多元文化的丰富底蕴。

除此以外，今年的游灯会活动非常精彩。金河广场全天都有互动游戏、节日表演，手工艺工作坊，抽奖，免费赠品礼物等等。当天还有八度空间的艺人 Owen叶剑锋、Gary 叶俊岑、Ching Yee王菁忆、Natalie 小玉、Orange 陈慧恬、Rickman 谢承伟、Charlotte 萧心韵、Victoria 黄诗琦、Yee Jie 朱宇婕、Houson 黄侯升、Eight FM 的 Kyan 和 可晴，还有Dior大颖&地狱旅行团的特别亮相一起玩游戏送礼物、提灯笼游街。

值得一提的是，金河广场2023年的中秋游灯会荣获了2023-2024年度马来西亚购物中心协会颁发的“最佳体验式营销”银奖。金河广场总经理张芳毅表示,“我们非常荣幸得到我们领域的认可和肯定，也借此机会将本次颁奖仪式搬到了金河广场今年的舞台与我们的伙伴，业主，租户商家与购物者一起分享这份喜悦。”
