In the end, 陆燕萍 clinched the Senior Category title with a score of 276.8, narrowly defeating 潘淑瑜, who earned 275.1 points. 覃微雯 triumphed in the Junior Category with an impressive 285.2 points, edging out 周姝妗, who scored 281.9, adding another crown to her decorated singing career.  

A Moment of Miracles

During the award ceremony, 陆燕萍 was visibly emotional, expressing her disbelief at winning the championship. As a single mother, she was especially grateful that her daughter could return from the UK to witness this pivotal moment. “My daughter has been by my side throughout my transformation. It’s a miracle she came back to support me,” she said, her heartfelt words resonating with the audience.  

She also shared a humorous anecdote, saying, “I took this competition so seriously that I lost some weight – my pants almost slipped off during rehearsals!”  

A Surprise Win and New Breakthrough

覃微雯, the Junior Category champion, admitted she wasn’t among the favorites to win but credited her focus and dedication over the five-month competition. “I told myself not to overthink, just sing my best in every performance,” she remarked.  

Although she is a seasoned performer with numerous titles, 覃微雯 confessed that the fierce competition left no room for complacency, making this victory especially meaningful.  

Second-place winner 周姝妗 took her result in stride, revealing that she had even dreamed of winning both the runner-up position and the popularity award the night before the finals. Despite encountering microphone issues during her performance, she remained composed and delivered a professional performance.  

Della Ding Dang Surprises with Concert Announcement

The grand finals also featured a special guest judge – 全民情歌天后 (Queen of Love Songs), 丁当. She opened the event with the contestants by performing 《三天三夜》(Three Days and Three Nights) and later serenaded the audience with 《一样的月光》 (Same Moonlight).  

Della praised both 陆燕萍 and 覃微雯 for their performances, saying, “They not only displayed great vocal strength but also conveyed captivating stories through their songs.”  

To the delight of fans, Della announced her upcoming concert in Malaysia on February 15, 2025, triggering enthusiastic applause. “Get your red packets ready!” she joked, hinting at the Chinese New Year celebration around the concert date.  

Generous Prizes and the Mah Sing Popularity Award

The competition offered generous prizes, with both category champions receiving MYR 30,000 and trophies, while the runners-up were awarded MYR 20,000 each. The audience-voted Mah Sing人气奖 (Mah Sing Popularity Award) went to 罗家豪, who walked away with MYR 8,888 and a trophy, becoming one of the evening’s standout stars.
