[Upcoming Concert Event] MPO Presents 'Symphony Of Memories: Nostalgic Hong Kong Classics' 

Celebrate nostalgia with the MPO's presentation of Hong Kong classic songs at DFP!

Kuala Lumpur, 2025 - The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) continues to inspire public interest in music, extending beyond Western classical music. Following the success of the Teresa Teng Tribute Concert in 2023 and Celestial Serenade last year, the MPO will demonstrate its versatility in an upcoming concert titled Symphony of Memories: Nostalgic Hong Kong Classics on Saturday, 22 March 2025 at 8 p.m. at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC.

The MPO will pay tribute to the rich sounds and harmonious melodies of Hong Kong classics. Songs from TV series such as The Bund, Love And Passion, Fatal Irony, The Shell Game, and The Legend of Condor Heroes will be performed.

The program also includes songs from movies like Game Gambler Play and A Chinese Odyssey Part 2: Cinderella. The repertoire will also include 80s hit songs such as Beautiful Shadow (popularized by Kenneth Choi), Lament of Life's Lessons (a hit by Sam Hui), Loving Just You (Danny Chan), and Boundless Oceans Vast Skies, which was popularized by the group Beyond and is considered a Cantonese rock anthem.

Under the baton of Hong Kong-born Francis Kan, the MPO will collaborate with four singers: 

Kaho Loh, who was born in Ipoh, has more than ten years of musical experience. Aside from Malaysia, he has performed in the United States, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. His diverse musical style in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and Malay repertoire has added to his artistic appeal. As a finalist in the Astro Classic Songs Singing Competition, his success has cemented his place in the local music industry.

Tan Soo Suan is a veteran award-winning vocalist and the resident singer of Dama Asia, a well-known theatre company. Her achievements include the Boh Cameronian Arts Awards and the National Grand Champion of Classical Singing. She's made several recordings and performed in Australia, Canada, Indonesia, and Taiwan.

Lim Yong Huat, who is from Perak, has competed in numerous competitions, including Astro Star Quest in 1997. Despite many challenges, he pursued his dream and won the Astro Classic Golden Melody in 2018.

Pahang-born Amy Chan has released over ten albums and took part in Astro Classic Golden Melody in 2015. She has appeared on a number of television shows, including Voice of the Middle Ages 2 in Hong Kong, where she embraces new dynamics, insights, and musical inspiration. She also judges Astro talent shows and organizes charity concerts.

吉隆坡，2025年——MPO持续激发公众对音乐的兴趣，不仅限于西方古典音乐。在2023年邓丽君致敬音乐会及去年的《Celestial Serenade》大获成功后，MPO将再度展现其音乐多样性，推出即将到来的音乐会——《回忆交响曲：怀旧香港经典》，该音乐会将于2025年3月22日（星期六）晚上8点在吉隆坡的DFP隆重登场。

MPO将向香港经典音乐的丰富韵律与和谐旋律致敬。本次演出将带来多首耳熟能详的电视剧主题曲，如《上海滩》、《万水千山总是情》、《轮流转》、《赌霸》和《射雕英雄传》等。

本场音乐会将由香港籍指挥家Francis Kan执棒，MPO将与四位实力派歌手同台献艺：

曾是Astro经典名曲歌唱大赛的决赛选手的Kaho Loh，来自怡保，拥有超过十年的音乐经验。他的演出足迹遍布马来西亚、美国、中国、香港及新加坡。他擅长演绎粤语、华语、英语及马来语歌曲，风格多变。
